Hey, the full trailer for the D&D movie dropped, so just a quick reminder: Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, who own the Dungeons & Dragons IP, are trying to pull some copyright fuckery so they can make the D&D game more monetized like a "live service" video game. #OpenD&D
I just answered the Corporates & Assholes questionaire.
My demands are:
a) A public apology of the corporates to the fans, the creators and the in house creatives for the distress they caused to them.
b) The resignation of both Chris Cocks and Cynthia Williams.
c) The creation of an ogl 1.0b, with the sole addition to be that it's irrevocable.
Anything else sees me walking away from them.

Some thoughts on the D&D OGL 1.1 debacle.
I, for one, feel both gutted and betrayed by Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro. If they enact OGL 1.1 as it is, then they have proven to not care about the community that helped make D&D the powerhouse that it is. They'll be killing their own golden goose.

Monetization, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Games-As-Service with Microtransacations, and Kill the OGL/SRD and replace it with a 4e style. Great ideas, as always.
