I was shooting a Common Tern as it overflew me, when it saw something to eat below, dove into the water and emerged with a meal a few metres off the bank where I was walking

I couldn't have scripted it better 👍

It seems like a great time to be a Red-browed Finch. Now the rain has passed seeds are showing up all over the place and water is plentiful.

The early bird catches the millipede

This guy swooped me from the tree outside my place as I headed out for a walk yesterday. He then perched in the tree ahead watching me, including as I walked around the base of the tree taking a few photos. Cheeky. 📷

Throwing caution to the wind, this Topknot Pigeon decided it wasn't hanging about for a portrait

Often it's just the stick in the photo in these circumstances. A beautifully lit sunny stick, where a bird may well have been previously. One of those lens-sensitive birds. Trust me
