#PTPX

2026-03-11

Another #PTPX postcard has arrived, and this one is kinda punk rock. It is very solid, rough edged, with scorch marks. I think it intimidates the other postcards πŸ˜… Nice! I present to you "Burn, Baby, Burn", by monperrus. This monperrus: monperrus.net #plotterart #penplotter

A postcard, on white card, with black marks in a somewhat irregular grid. The marks are burn marks, some larger than others. The edges are somewhat irregular, and in the lower right there is a round notch, which also looks cut with a laser.

Thank you @humulus 😍 #penplotter #ptpx #ptpx2025 I spent a long time diciphering those curves. Wonderful 😊

#PTPX continues to be the gift that keeps on giving. I know there's been some .. ahem.. comments.. about how long it takes sometimes for ptpx cards to get out, but honestly I like having it spaced out over time. Here are two recent arrivals - I'll do it as a 🧡 I guess.

I really enjoyed doing and will do it again next year for sure. Here are the cards I mailed in December, and the ones I have received. Super fun and super inspiring, recommend.

This postcard is from @thedoyleabides - illustrating tiling. It could be a single line trace. #penplotter #ptpx

And they're off! #ptpx postcards hit the post office today. A bit later than I wanted but nowhere near as bad as previous years. They are going naked, no envelope, so the postal service can add that last touch of randomness. #plotterart #penplotter

Postcards on a green desk surface. The design is an abstract curved shape of linked red and black circles on a light, distressed blue grid, on white paper. Four can be seen in their entirety and there is a stack of additional ones at the top of the picture.

I do wonder if the recipients got the postcards I sent out. Well I’m sure one did :)

On the blue is a piece called tracing the line by Hubertus of www.fleurcerebrale.com. On the back it explains "with a shaking hand over time: project 'getting older'". Merci Hubertus, je l'aime beaucoup, et Γ§a nous arrive Γ  tous. #ptpx #plotterart #penplotter

A postcard, drawn by a pen plotter, with gold horizontal lines on blue paper. The lines progressively become more shaky going from top to bottom.

On the white paper we have an untitled piece from Mike @artplots   The picture doesn't capture it well, but this ink is really funky, I really like it.  Many thanks! #ptpx #plotterart #penplotter

A postcard, drawn by a plotter, of flower like shapes with lines projecting out from central point. The ink is a silvery gray.

Wooo! A couple more #ptpx postcards have come in over the last week or so. Time for another mini thread. 🧡 #plotterart #penplotter

As an addendum to my post just now: It's always fun (genuinely!) to go through my stamp "collection" and piece together combinations that work for whatever price increases Deutsche Post has applied since I last bought stamps (while still physically fitting on the cards)!

Every December, there's a pen plotter postcard exchange called (I've participated for the past three years: mastodon.social/@doersino/1094 & mastodon.social/@doersino/1116 & mastodon.social/@doersino/1140).

Fashionably late for (but a month earlier than last time!), I just sent out my 19 cards – each one depicts a randomly-generated forest with all kinds of sights. (Don't mind the ghosts, they'll tell you stories of eras past!)

I've built a tiny tool to generate them: codeberg.org/noahdoersing/ptpx

I'm a bit late. I hope the wait was worth it ^_^

#ptpx plots leaving today!

A photo of my desk with 10 long postcards, plotted with gold on black. One of them is flipped, revealing the back side featuring silver text describing what the image is about.
Also on the table a pen plotter, 4 received postcards and the left side of my split keyboard.A close up of two postcards on black paper, one front side and one back side.

The back side reads:
