Here's a close-up of the #Panaplex display on the Data Precision 3500. The instrument has a bank of relays inside for auto range switching, and a BCD interface connector on the rear

But to carry on the #Panaplex theme, how about two digital multimeters: Datron 1057a on the bottom and Data Precision 3500 on the top. Data Precision has a red filter over the neon orange Panaplex displays
