Enjoyed the new anthology "Terror Tales of the Westcountry": great new stuff fron and and an amazing one, "Chalk and Flint", from horror's reigning queen of beautiful, eerie nature description . Just as one tiny example, all my reading life i've seen blackberries described as red, green and black. Singleton also sees that lovely fleeting shade of pale pink that is never mentioned. Great human interest in this story too.

The book Terror Tales of the Westcountry edited by Paul Finch, showing a most unsavory druid (citation needed) summoned by Neil WilliamsonA clump of exceedingly late blackberries found in effing December and still largely unripe. Note charming shade of pink evoked by Singleton.
