Many men these days don't seem to get that the distant, stoic provider archetype is born of an age where service to your king came before loyalty to your family and women tolerated that status quo under threat of violence. Given a choice, we want a man who will burn the hierarchy to the ground if it benefits our children.

I came across this today and I can't tell you how true it is. Even from my perspective being an older man, I graduated high school in 1997 and to this day I find I have to define for myself what it means to be a man. Through no problem with my own father, who I have a sense struggles with the exact same thing but does not know how to talk about it.

I am glad that more and more people are making more and better criticisms of the #manosphere, but I still don't see a good counter to it. Or even good ideas on how to counter it. The only thoughts I have in mind are:
1. Teach people to recognize #scapegoating behavior. Usually folks looking to scapegoat are looking to sell you something, or gain power over people.
2. Find good platforms for #PositiveMasculinity.
