Ever wondered how to make your beats stand out in a mix? Sidechaining is the answer! It's a clever technique that automatically adjusts the volume of one track based on another. Perfect for preventing clashes and giving your music a professional sheen.

This is my official ranking of VSTi:s by their value and primary purpose.
I hope this will help some newcomers in making electronic music!

1. Spire - Basses, Leads, Acids
2. Serum - Everything that's not done better by Spire; Polys and some sequences; A silently ballooning 15GB wavetable collection in your AppData. Anything related to dubstep or chiptunes
2. Hive - Pads, Sequences, complex leads; Insane preset count and some very pretty tones designed by wizards
3. Spectral - Pads, Additives, Bells
4. Nexus - Trancegates, Dance pianos
5. VPS Avenger - Emptying your wallet, Some sweet as fuck supersaws though
6. Predator - Early 2000's dance in general
7. Massive - Basic waves that sound like wispy farts without 10 additional VSTs in the chain
8. SubBoomBass - Bass when you don't know how to use Spire
9. RP Raw, RP Raw Kick - Killing your CPU while looking ugly as sin
10. 3xOSC, Sytrus - When music is more of a sport for you
11. Absynth - You're making industrial, aren't you?
Ö. Vital - Fucking nothing. Absolutely nothing

Gain staging in music production is about setting the right volume levels at each stage to ensure optimum sound quality and prevent distortion. It's all about achieving a balanced and clean mix!
