Powerful words ... I worry sometimes that good people in this country will do nothing in the face of evil ... #VoteBlue2024
"You're not allowed to give up. If they decide to kill me, it means that we are incredibly strong ... The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing. So don't be inactive." ~ #AlexeiNavalny

And Navalny's sudden death happening just a few weeks ahead of elections in Russia only strengthens a poisoning theory.
In memoriam. #RIPAlexeiNavalny
Alexei Navalny's Court appearance one day before his death - laughing, joking, fit & in good spirits.
IMO, he must have been poisoned - Putin's favorite method of killing inconvenient Russians, after the equally popular Falling-Out-Of-Window Syndrome.
Oh.SHIT.
Russian activist and Putin critic Alexei Navalny dies in prison
Alexei Navalny (1976β2024)
Whatever your view of him, and certainly there are people who admire and dislike him (and some both), the man had fire in the belly and courage in spades. He knew that he would be killed on Putin's orders, directly or indirectly.
The real turning point in Russia was when Boris Nemtsov was murdered, 9 year ago this month. Russia could have been so different.
Navalny was like a last chance saloon, but also problematic. Now we will never know.
