Five rapper sword dancers, in black t shirts with a silver emblem on the sleeve and black skirts with a silver decoration, are performing a dance in an open structure with a concrete floor and wood framed roof. Their hands are high and their rapper swords are entangled. A musician at right rear, in a black shirt and trousers, plays a fiddle. Two morris dancers, in white shirts and black trousers with arm ribbons and blue vests decorated with badges, watch at left rear. Behind is a view down to a lake.

@pling what is the team. As thumbnails it looked like Sallyport, but the badge is different. Interesting if it is a team set up by an ex-sallyport dancer.

#Rapper or #RapperSwordDancing is a #Dance tradition originating from the NE of England, the pit villages of the Durham & Northumberland coalfield. It is not #Morris but is now often seen at #FolkFestival s. A flashy dance style designed to be performed inside pubs for beer money, best done as a beer crawl on a busy night. The excellent Mons Meg is an Edinburgh-based team.
