And this is an amazing and very detailed tourposter for Wolvennest. The band didn't play Roadburn this year, but I have seen them live before in my hometown Nijmegen. Douwe Dijkstra sold screenprints at the merchtables, and this one was one of them.

Four colors with overlaps. Handpulled screenprinted on 240 gr bioset paper. Handnumbered and signed edition #27/70. 70x50cm.

A vibrant, surreal illustration featuring a large, gnarled tree with purple bark and twisting branches. At the center of the tree, where the trunk meets the canopy, is a glowing human skull radiating golden beams of light. The tree's roots are entangled with human skeletons and skulls, creating a haunting scene. The background shows greenish mountains under a pale yellow sky. The image is bordered in red with intricate gold patterns of vines and leaves. At the top, the word β€œWOLVENNEST” is prominently displayed, with β€œVERA” and β€œ1502” written vertically on the left and right sides respectively.

Screen printed Greet Live At Roadburn 2025 poster designed by Subterranean Prints. Handnumbered and signed limited edition 3/30.

The utter most impressive design, if you ask me. This one will be framed in the living room for everyone to see.

Illustrated poster featuring a large black and dark red raven perched on a tree branch with stylized leaves and hanging fruit. The raven holds a chain in its beak, which is connected to a crescent moon shape. The text at the bottom reads: "GREET - Live at Roadburn - MMXXIV." 🧡 I got me these gig posters which I bought at the Roadburn festival this year. The first one is a limited edition A5 sized cardboard screenprinted ticket for next years event, designed by Douwe Dijkstra.

A colorful flyer/ticket for the 2026 Roadburn Festival, featuring bold layered colors in shades of blue, purple, red, orange, and yellow, creating a surreal landscape. Silhouetted figures hike through a fantastical mountainous terrain at the bottom. The text reads: "2026 ROADBURN, April 16 - 19, Tilburg, The Netherlands."

Closing it all down, Greet (formerly the drummer in anti-fascist black metal band Dawn Ray'd!) gifted a melancholical rite, celebrating myths and paganism. All I could think about, is how Roadburn is a Summer Isle in the middle of the most cruel world. An isle of respect, love and inclusion. An isle of darkness defining all colors of life, existence, art and everything beyond. Black is where all colors are combined.

I'm a lifelover.

A black-and-white photo of a musician with long hair performing on stage, playing a harmonium and singing into a microphone. The performer is dressed in flowing, ceremonial-style clothing with a pendant necklace. Behind them is a large screen showing a pastoral landscape with stylized, gothic text reading "Greet" entwined with branches. A woven wreath-like decoration hangs on the front of the performer’s stand, adding to the mystical, pagan aesthetic. Misty lighting enhances the ethereal atmosphere of the scene.

Roadburn day 4/4.

Bombstrap came up to do a secret show at the skate hall. This encounter was what I needed. Some art makes you feel understood. And some people understand this art. Protect trans kids with your punk-ass and free Palestine for the sake of their and your own existence. Or else f*** off.

Respect Existence or Expect Resistance.

Black and white photo of a high-energy live band performance in an indoor venue with exposed wooden beams. The vocalist, standing center stage, wears a dramatic outfit including a long white wig, theatrical makeup, and a unique body suit with patches and lace. They are passionately singing into a microphone. To the left and right, masked musicians in black attire play guitar and bass. A drummer is visible in the background, and the stage is filled with musical gear and amplifiers. One of the speaker cabinets is draped with a Palestinian flag and the other with the Trans Pride flag, adding to the punk or avant-garde aesthetic of the show.

Roadburn day 4/4.

Yes. Bacht'n de Vuile Moane brings the lo-fi, minimal lompness, which I'm looking for in my black metal. This somewhat reminded me of the sounds of Kwade Droes, only kind of more minimal Γ‘nd synthy.

Black and white photo capturing a packed indoor concert venue. The crowd fills the frame, all facing the brightly lit stage in the distance. Beams of light cut through the smoky atmosphere from above, highlighting the silhouettes of audience members. The industrial-style ceiling features exposed ducts and metal beams, contributing to the raw and energetic ambiance of the live music event.

Roadburn day 4/4.

Today started with the Vuur & Zijde show, performing their album Boezem. Beforehand, their music doesn't really seem to be my cup of coffee, but this band really showed they are more than worth it giving them another try, which I know I will do. With members of Laster and Terzij de Horde (!).

Roadburn day 4/4.

So here we are at the last day of Roadburn 2025. Starting with a pic of my hardcopy ticket and an original artprint for the next edition! You have to hold on to something in life, especially these days. 361 days to go...but not before looking back into the last day of this year's edition of Roadburn.

Black and white photo of a hand holding a ticket and flyer for Roadburn 2026, a music festival taking place from April 16 to 19 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. The ticket shows it was issued by Paylogic, with event details printed including the venue "013 Poppodium." The background includes a textured metal surface and some scattered objects.

Every year, Roadburn has it's out-of-tune and out-of-vibe (headliner) bookings, which is always exciting, because that's exactly what redefining heavyness is. This year, I guess Altin GΓΌn is such a band. The Turkish folktunes with psychedellic folk twists made even the grimmest people in the audience shuffle their feet. Glad to have seen them live at this venue!

Roadburn day 3/4.

ØXN makes me want to be of Irish residence. This performance had the most lovely and emotional pagan folkloric vibes, with hints of The Wicker Man film, combined with hints of Lynchian sounds. But above all, ØXN has it's own unique way of story telling and creating dark soundscapes. Highly recommended!

A drummer is playing behind a drum kit on the left, and a keyboardist and vocalist is silhouetted on the right, seated at a keyboard and microphone. A large projection of a stone statue, resembling an ancient sculpture, is displayed on a screen behind them. The atmosphere is moody and dramatic with minimal lighting.

Roadburn day 3/4.

The Uniform show was quite something. Apart from the show itself, this is my first encounter with this band, not having heared of them before. This band with Interpol and Couch Slut members manages to create a sound that struck me like a (very) blackened Idles combined with Daughters. Impressive set!

Black and white photo of a live concert featuring a metal or rock band mid-performance. The stage is lit with bright spotlights, and a large screen in the background displays a glowing symbol resembling a cross with a scythe, enclosed in a circle. A large crowd is silhouetted in the foreground, watching the energetic performance.

Roadburn day 3/4.

By surprise, I ended up at a Gillian Carter show. I have to say, I had to get used to their blackened hardcore sound and screams. But they ended up playing a very energetic and on-point show. And the audience presented the first serious circle-pit I saw this Roadburn edition.

Roadburn day 3/4.

Talking about have-to-see bands; I was just in time to catch the DΓΈdheimsgard show from the beginning, playing their masterpiece album Black Medium Current. Because of the symphonical tone of the album, this show could have been just a wall of sound, but it was a very clear and impressive performance! Glad to have seen then live.

The lead vocalist is in the center, leaning forward dramatically with a microphone in hand and long hair hanging down. Other band members are playing instruments under intense stage lighting. A large screen behind them displays the DHG logo and abstract industrial imagery. The audience is silhouetted in the foreground.

And to conclude the day Big Brave played a secret show at the skate hall! Glad to have seen this unique set by this impressive band, as I will probably not see them when they hit the big stage at The Terminal.

Roadburn day 2/4.

Soooo...yeah...these earplugs definitely did their job, as this The Body show was really the 'body' of sound I expected. I have seen many LOUD performances in the past by bands like Sunn O))), Boris, Swans (Michael Gira and Kristof Hahn will play sunday!), Conan, etc. And this is definitely one for the 'loudest concerts ever' list. Also, I just loved the dark and grimm performance this duo left the audience with.

Black and white photo of a moody live concert scene, with a dramatic spotlight beaming from behind the drummer at center stage. The drummer is captured mid-performance, arms raised with drumsticks. Another band member is seen leaning over equipment on the right side of the stage. Roadburn day 2/4.

Yes! A second Envy set. As I have seen them yesterday, I didn't want to mis them today neither. What a wholesome, one of a kind band this is. Great set once again.
