More mafia-related Easter eggs can be found all over the City and its surrounding waters in GTA: Vice City. 🌇
In two different locations in the river two overweight men can be seen underwater. The men are stripped of their clothes, except for their underwear. They have their feet inside of dried cement and have been dumped into the ocean, which was a notorious method of murdering people that the mafia used in the 20th century. 🌊

GTA: Vice City is heavily influenced by the gangster film Scarface from 1983.
For example the Vercetti Estate located on Starfish Island in Vice City is based on Tony Montana's mansion from the movie.
The security monitors in the mansion's office do not show the inside of Vercetti Estate but the same footage from the cameras in Scarface, featuring the sweeping staircase, the 'The World Is Yours' statue, and the swimming pool.

2002's GTA: Vice City is set in 1986 in fictional Vice City, which is based on the city of Miami.
Vice City previously appeared in the original Grand Theft Auto (1997). 🌴
The team even organised field research trips to Miami shortly after completing the development of #GTA III, splitting into small teams and observing the streets. 🌇

Hints to this are billboards in GTA III advertising travels to Miami, and in the mission where the player drove Ray Machowski to the airport to catch a plane for Miami, hinting at the characters return appearance. 🛫
As this was too much content for a mission pack, the concept became a stand-alone game, GTA: Vice City. 🌴

In GTA III there's a sign adverting a movie called "Badfellas". That's a spoof on Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas from 1990 that was a huge influence on the story and setting of the game. 🎬
There are also movie advertisement posters in Liberty City that read "Top Down City." This is a reference to the previous games' top down perspective.
The advertised movie Soldiers of Misfortune is a reference to the TV series Soldiers of Fortune.

GTA III was temporarily removed from sale in Australia for re-rating due to the player's ability to collect a prostitute, who would sit in the car's passenger seat.
If the car then came to rest in a secluded area, it would begin to rock violently, implying sex, although both characters remain unmoving in their respective seats. 👩❤️👨
A censored version for Australia, removing this ability was thus released. 💔

TaleSpin released by Sega for the Genesis is a cross between a 2D platformer and a Shoot 'em Up for up to 2 players, playing as either Baloo or Kit Cloudkicker. The goal of each level is to find at least ten cargo crates in order to unlock the exit.
It's not to be confused with the Nintendo version of the game released by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, being a Shoot 'em Up only.
