This must be how the robot wars start. AI defense tools fighting AI #robocallers, and the AI on both sides improving offensive and defensive skills geometrically until they destroy everything. I predict the robocaller AI will win and rule the world.

@crazygingerlady @thebadnewsb I'm jist glad that unsolicited calls - espechally with falsified or hidden number - are illegal in Germany and that @BNetzA terminates #scammers and #robocallers within hours if not minutes of reports.
Thus #robocalling and #SpamCalls are basically nonexistant in #Germany.
I wish #FCC would also have #ZeroTolerance in that sector.

#Robocallers seem to be calling later these days. Phone rang about 8:40pm. Caller ID said "Lecompte". I said "Hello" twice. Call hung up.

The availability of Verified Calls seems to be in the process of rolling out, and currently is only showing up for some users. Those that have access and choose to enable it in Phone settings can start getting notices from participating businesses. When a business calls, they'll see a screen informing them of the reason for the call, even before they pick up.
Android users are lucky enough already to have fully functional, working caller screening apps like Truecaller. On iPhone, I have to suffer through crippled versions of those apps as Apple prohibits any 3rd party from controlling the phone app (my biggest bugbear with iOS).
