The cactus itself is dark green with med-short spines.

A cactus column tip from above - it had 6 bright green ribs and a lot of orange-red spines. The spines look sharp (and they are!), and are small-medium length.

Repotted the plants today.

That's really the end of the new discoveries so I will end with a few great examples of #RootPorn in my collection. One picture is my Encyclia ghillany with beautiful, wild roots going every which way and the other shows the cute, little starts of new roots on the new growth on my already root-happy Catasetum tenebrosum.
