I ticked off the #RyōmōLine in my effort to take every train once in the #KantōRegion. This is #Iwafune station in #Tochigi #Japan where busy means three trains per hour! #TrainPorn #電車オタク #栃木県 #岩舟駅 #関東地方 #両毛線

The station has three tracks and two barebone platforms without roofs. This picture was taken from the platform immediately behind the tiny station building looking out over the tracks and the other platform and beyond. Beyond are fields, a few residential buildings, and lots of green. Centered in the shot on the platform is an old station name sign, about chest height. It's not the old, old sign which was in Japanese characters only. It's a bit later when romanization was added and the next stations in either direction.
