I find it childish that the DA and ANC always fight in public instead of having dialogue with each other.

I always had high hopes for the #GNU as long as the DA tried to be constructive. But from my perspective it seems they still are very much the party in opposition to the ANC and can't work without that mindset. The only thing they bring to the table is "good governance" but otherwise thrive in the status quo. One that most #SouthAfricans feel must change.
But this is turbulent times internationally, and I'd rather a GNU that works and is stable than the alternative.
Why is Hellen Zille still even in the DA, let alone a position of power? “The real problem for this country right now is Helen Zille. She is the quintessential wrecking ball” to the government of national unity (GNU) https://www.news24.com/citypress/voices/mondli-makhanya-helen-zille-will-be-the-death-of-the-gnu-20241117 #SouthAfrica #HelenZille #DA #DemocraticAlliance #GNU #GovernmentOfNationalUnity #opinion #SApol #SApolitics
South Australia's ICAC chief resigns in protest over corruption scandal. The resignation allows a politician found guilty of travel rorts to get legal costs refunded by taxpayers. #Corruption #SApolitics

I haven't seen this offending #DA "flag burning" ad, but if they really set a South African flag alight, then I have to agree: there's no justification or excuse for that. It's probably one of the most despicable things you can do, IMO. :(
Does #CyrilRamaphosa actually want to be president anymore? Or is he just really tired?
I can tell you now, *I* wouldn't want his job. And I don't blame him for getting a bit fed up. Perhaps he could do with a nice long holiday? :)
#ElonMusk has accused #JuliusMalema of calling for a "white genocide" in #SouthAfrica.

Erm, gee, thanks Elon, but you know, we really don't need you to defend us. Like, with friends like you, who needs enemies, know what I mean? 😜
South Africa's ICJ case against Israel, for violation of the genocide convention, is a historic opportunity to expose the fanatically violent character of the Israeli state and heap pressure on their western backers. That it's those who defeated apartheid bringing this case makes it all the more credible, even if the ANC of today aren't as politically iconic as the freedom fighters of that period.
