Exciting news from #CBDR_lab: @oliviafischer presented her most recent project aimed at better understanding to what extent the risky choices behavioral scientists study reflect the choices people actually make in real life - and if not, to what extent it matters. CASH was less effective than a CHAT with someone who disagreed at
(1) improving decisions on reflection tests involving #logic or #statistics
(2) nudging people toward certain #philosophy judgments

I don't often get to attend #SJDM- was really interesting to be at a decision-making conference with clear #psychology roots. Also, love interdisciplinary conferences, but sometimes nice to go to talks where you can rely on shared knowledge - can just toss up a graph, cite or phrase without walking people carefully through the background. (Yes, everyone there has read prospect theory!)

Starting next week, both #SJDM and #SfN are happening where I live. I still can't decide how to feel about "home" conferences - feels like a lot of pressure to be present for family, conference, and work all at the same time!
