But here are 3 underrated sites I'd recommend: Ye Olde Pepper Companie (1806), America's oldest #candy shop, still making some of the same recipes; the Salem Custom House, where you can see what a #19thcentury office looked like; and Salem's Public #Artist in Residence program, where regional artists speak about their craft (this year's is #Sabateuse , a #bootmaker). Always good to go off the beaten path! #history
