There aren’t that many exciting changes this year in the Netherlands regarding rail. An interesting change is that Vlissingen (Zeeland province) now has a direct connection to Breda, Arnhem, and Zwolle every hour.
(The intercity to Amsterdam is currently limited to Rotterdam due to ongoing construction work.)

Wow, #Schedule2026 so far contained a regression for travels between Karlsruhe and Lauterbourg where the transfer in Wörth is no longer possible.
Today, I wrote an email to the competent bureau of public transportation of Rhineland-Palatinate explaining the issue with the modified schedule for travels from Karlsruhe to France.
I surprisingly immediately received a response confirming me the modification in the schedule data was unintentional and they will fix the published schedule asap. The error was related to preparation for the new FLIRT BMUs on the line causing departure and arrival times to slightly differ starting from summer.
I'm really surprised, looks like #CrossBorderRail will at least stay as (un-)reliable as today - but at least not worse.
