So beginnt jede Folge der Serie Raumpatrouille Orion. In der Reihe Sternenlicht erzählen wir diese Märchen.
RAUMPATROUILLE ORION stand zu Beginn dieser Reihe als Vorbild Pate. Sternenlicht ist aber weit mehr, als Fan Fiction. 100 Jahre in der Zukunft werden neue Abenteuer beschrieben, die nur noch in ihren Grundzügen Ähnlichkeiten mit ihrem beliebten Vorbild aufweisen. Die Anlehnung soll erkennbar sein. Sternenlicht ist eine Hommage an Orion und die SF der 1960er bis 1980er Jahre. Eine Art Liebeserklärung auch ohne Frogs, und der Erde. Aber stets mit einem Sense of Wonder – um die Geschichten phantastisch zu machen.
Zwölf Autoren steuerten in dieser Sammlung spannende Erzählungen bei, die das literarische Universum um ein Vielfaches erweitern. Jede Geschichte ist für sich ein Beweis, dass gute SF auch auf wenigen Seiten Platz finden kann. Der Zauber, eine bekannte Vorlage mit neuen Ideen zu ergänzen, sorgte dafür, dass sich die Sternenlicht-Reihe eine treue Fanbasis erwarb.

My thoughts on the issue are many and varied.
Your question seems primarily to have two concerns:
1) Players metagaming and optimizing knowledge and mechanics to “beat” scenarios. The sort of thing that might be referred to as a very “gamist” approach to the situation.
2) Lost sense of wonder. Which I think relates to narrowing player sense of perspective, types of goals, and how the goals might be achieved.
