Hab gestern Sing 2 gesehen. Richtig schöner Animationsfilm. Erwartbare Handlung, ja, aber die emotionale Kontur wird prima geführt, die Charaktere sind schön gezeichnet, die Musik ist super umgesetzt. Gute Show, gute Laune.

Yesterday a friend and I watched "Sing 2".

The story was very similar to the first movie of the franchise, but it was really nicely done.
Many cool character designs and the visual quality and the animations of that movie are really impressive.

Bono's speaking voice is much more impressive than him singing. 😅

But yeah, it's a fun movie, it's nice the franchise will get another one.

Watching #Sing2 for the millionth time and just now realizing how unfinished the story must have been. Like, they had 4 planets but only 3 cast members for them. Perhaps Calloway would do a solo for the 4th? (Risky!) (No wonder Moon doesn’t want to talk about it!)

Then, in the hotel room Gunter thinks of Ash duetting with Calloway, so now the Joy planet is open. And the script for it remains in revision past the full dress rehearsal.

Remember when I said #TheLorax would be the hardest #movie for me to talk about in this #marathon? Yeah, #Sing2 is harder.

Sing 2 follows many of the same story beats of the first movie, but on a much larger scale and with a real, intimidating #villain. Like the original, the main characters are likable, it has tons of charm, it has great moments and I found new songs thanks to it.

However… something felt off. And I'm not sure what it is. I'll have to come back to this one. I've even downloaded a #transcript of the #film to my #iPad, so I can go through it. For now, I'll call it #good.

We're only two #movies away from the finish line, so let's get on with the penultimate movie: #MinionsTheRiseOfGru, the movie I still regret not seeing in #theaters.

Think "The Muppets Take Manhattan" did this film's basic idea (talking animals try to get a musical going in a big city) a lot better.
