Snow bridges = spring danger. ❄️ That patch of snow might hide water, rocks, or a drop-off. One misstep and you’re soaked—or hurt.
✅ Probe snow first
✅ Cross one at a time
✅ Rope up if possible
✅ Avoid if unsure of stability
✅ Stay off in warm weather
Ever had a snow bridge scare?

❄️ Think avalanches only strike without warning? Think again! Most are triggered by the victim or their group. Stay safe: check forecasts, carry gear, practice rescue skills. Your life depends on it! 🏔️
This photo last year shows a group climbing near Mt Blue Sky with obvious avalanche debris just to the right. The most important sign of avalanche risk are ongoing slides.
Whenever you spot debris or see a slide, take extreme caution and consider calling it a day. If you do not have avalanche gear and training, it's an unwise decision to continue.
Have you ever seen similar conditions?
