2/ #SoundParticles S.A. is an amazing company in Portugal, and they’ve released the beta version of their flagship Sound Particles 3 software.
In this screenshot, each of those dots is an audio sound source that can be animated in 3D pretty much any way you’d like,
with complete control of pitch, delay, granularity, and any number of other parameters.
On my 14-channel #DolbyAtmos system, it sounds completely mind-boggling. It’s a dazzling tool for working with immersive music and audio.
Discovered #SoundParticles software today at the Algorithmic Audiovisualities conference and OMG. Perfect timing! I've been trying to make a sort of alien crickets sound for a landscape in a VR piece I'm working on and was thinking I'd need to design it then plonk things about the landscape and it would be repetitive and clunky, but this just spreads all my insects out for me. 3D sound in moments! Lots of settings to learn and refining to do but SO MUCH FUN! (& education version is free!)

After that, I’ll be adding Klipsch’s Dolby Atmos speakers – a pair at a time – until I’m configured with 7.1.6.
I can’t wait to run Eventide’s Blackhole Immersive and MicroPitch Immersive plugins with 14 speakers!
