#SpaceEngineers2 alpha access has started. The first vertical slice focuses on creative mode, basic crafting and damage. So of course I had to do something silly.

My gut feeling is that things are a bit more durable. Sure, I was able to carve a nice gash to the red ship, but the green base was relatively fine. The global top speed has been increased tenfold, so I expected a lot more kinetic damage.

It's hardly conclusive, though. More testing is definitely needed.
