De Cinema wraps up SPOTLIGHT ON WOMXN DIRECTORS with the avant-première of Good One (2024), the debut feature by India Donaldson. The screening will be introduced by Girls on Film and followed by a live panel discussion featuring four collectives dedicated to amplifying female perspectives in film: Girls on Film, Ursula Collectief, Wanda Collectief, and Studio Sarab.

💡 Good One offers a subtle and nuanced take on gender dynamics and personal observation—perfectly aligning with the missions of the participating collectives. The post-screening discussion will explore feminist solidarity, the role of art and film in social change, and how we can better amplify women’s voices in cinema and beyond.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐛 𝐂𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐚, an initiative by 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐛 dedicated to celebrating women filmmakers of color and highlighting the power of the female gaze.

Our mission is to honor and celebrate the visionary female directors behind (𝗲𝗰𝗼)𝗳𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮—women who challenge conventions, embody resilience, and build bridges across cultural and geographical boundaries. Through curated film programs, we aim to amplify the voices and perspectives we need today.

✨ We’re happy to announce our first 2 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 in 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗽 (March - April) in collaboration with @decinema_ @wanda_collective @girlsonfilmbe @ursulacollective and two more in 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘀 and 𝗚𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁. Dates and places will be announced soon!
