Nächstes Buch, ich will die Serie noch in meinem Urlaub durch bekommen. Ambitioniert, ich weiß, aber ich habe das Lesen in den letzten Jahren schleifen lassen, entsprechend hoch ist mein Stapel an zu lesenden Büchern. Dem muss nun endlich Einhalt geboten werden, vor allem weil ich ja immer mehr Bücher dazu bekomme, und nein, weniger zu kaufen ist keine Alternative.

Xie Lian peered inside his overflowing wardrobe, biting his lip.

“Are you sure the Palace of Fangs doesn’t have some sort of dresscode?”

Hua Cheng hummed. “It never did, but I’m sure that whatever gege wears when we visit today will become the new dresscode.”

Xie Lian groaned and rubbed his forehead. Knowing the residents of the Nameless City, this was probably exactly what would happen.

“Maybe we shouldn’t go.”

Hua Cheng wrapped his arms around his waist from behind and gently kissed his twitching ear before nuzzling his neck, breathing in his scent.

“If my husband doesn’t want to go, we won’t go.”

Xie Lian leaned back against his solid frame and thought about it. He was ready. Though he would never forget everything that had been done to him, every new day and night brought him further from the past, and offered new experiences based on trust, and joy, and fun.

These days, whenever he saw a vampire and one of the other citizens play a hunting game in the streets, he no longer felt the urge to intervene and slam the vampire to the ground. At least, he almost never did.

“I want to go,” he admitted.

Der vorherige Band war echt nicht schlecht. Ich fühle mich noch etwas hängen gelassen, weil ich nicht weiß was mit dem einen Geisterkönig passiert ist, aber ich bin zuversichtlich, dass das noch kommt.
