@Nanard_Groubiche another question (feel free to jump in @CatDad): I found this posting from 2013 from a @trolllordgames designer (?). It discusses making ALL special class abilities based on the Challenge Base 12 even if the associated attribute is not one of a PC's primary attributes. Any Castles & Crusades devotees out there? Last year, I bought the core books in the hopes of achieving an experience that more resembles AD&D 1e/2e. Sadly, I lost momentum and the game I planned never happened. Well, I'm back at it. C&C is a respectful update, but the books are truly Gygaxian in their sprawl. Has anyone assembled a lean and mean player facing C&C for Dummies type resource? (Troll Lord should hire a ruthless editor and a layout specialist IMO.) #ttrpg #TrollLordGames

I'm new to #castlesandcrusades - a question about class abilities. The way I read it, a class ability that requires an attribute check does not "trigger" a CB 12. A CB 12 is only awarded to prime attributes. So a Bard, for instance, for whom INT is a secondary attribute would make all Decipher Script checks at CB 18 even though it is a class ability unique to Bards. #ttrpg #trolllordgames #osr

@EveryEditionRPG For fantasy TTRPG, I prefer to run #CastlesandCrusades from #TrollLordGames. Gives me that old school feeling combined with an easy to run d20 mechanic for non-combat stuff.
