I’m playing #StarTrek (2013) a lot recently. It’s a fast shooter with an easy rule set and a fair difficulty level. All major shots are easy to hit
(maybe except the warp ramp) and if you miss you’ll probably bash into something else. Only downside are the interchangeable missions (Klingon Battle? Prime Directive? Just hit the flashing ramps) and the rather low Trek vibes which are kind of fine for me, cause I don’t care so much for Kelvin Trek anyway.

Managed to get the hardware of the virtual pinball cabinet up and running again after frying it with a not-so-well-placed USB-C connector in a USB-A socket.
Sadly, software still needs more work for the actual vpinball emulator.
But Batocera already runs other emulators like C64.

I also didn't mange to recreate a good resemblance when I tried to generate a splash screen for my #virtualpinball cab depicted a T2 and some neon letter yada yada.

Figured out a problem with volume on #virtualpinball #vpx tables. Remembered that under the 'coin door' setting there's a volume for games that have digital sound effects. Brought that up so it was at the same level as the 'table sounds' (like bumpers and flippers and stuff), and now it's completely playable!

@roygreenhilt I started my #virtualpinball directly on #batocera and I can't judge it on Win.

I love how many things already work out of the box, but if you start hitting walls it's hard to find help because almost all docs and discussions are Win only. Luckily the folks on Discord are a great help :-)

Added some new (old) tables from Mr. Jpsalas! If you're thinking, wow Arizona must be so much fun! - No, it's a death machine. King Kong, however, is pretty fun.

Tonight I finally got back to almost par working on my #virtualpinball machine. I had built the standard VPX Windows based box a while back and let me tell you - it SUCKED. Maintenance was almost impossible, and... it just sucked. The games played okay when they played, but debugging problems? Absolute nightmare.

This is now runnign on #batoceralinux and is much easier to maintain. Here's Attack from Mars on it. It's good to be back.
