The building is located on the waterfront and features a distinctive dome-like structure on top, which adds to its architectural charm. The postcard provides a bird's eye view of the area surrounding the Whitman Building, including other buildings and boats on the river. The Whitman Building stands out with its prominent size and central location in the image. There are no people visible in the image, giving it a somewhat tranquil feel. The color palette is muted, typical of postcards from the early 20th century, and includes shades of blue, green, and brown. The text on the postcard indicates that it was sent from New York City.
