I think you need to self host, there's no option to have users sharing the same deployment (at least not in the sense that activitypub systems have). But it seems really hard to find anything that actually tells you what you need to do. I find that quite metatextually funny given we're talking about a platform for federated authoring that revolves around text, explanations, documentations, etc. (yes, I know that #WikiIsntWikipedia, but the federated flavor is still more about sharing information on topics rather than the slightly tongue-in-cheek shitpostery vibe of #WikiWikiWeb)
