#WillLoveInSpring

@kdramarama Ep 4 for me too, and an emphatic "Hell yeah" to every one of your other points, most of which I actually said out loud to myself while watching.
Especially the last. She could do romance, just not a romcom. Something like the outstanding #cDrama #WillLoveInSpring, for example. Or try something like #GoodPartner or Lee Bo Young's #Agency

Day 16: Best female actor of 2025. #EYDC2025

#jDrama #cDrama #kDrama #twDrama

a clear winner here for me:
Wan Peng

In #LovesAmbition and #DearEnemy she played two very different kind of supporting roles. Both w/ unusual features.
Her Dear Enemy character potentially an arch-enemy of the women she became BFF with, and in LovesAmbition, she was the HIGHLY favoured/ preferred sister who was utterly devoted to her neglected sibling. She nailed them both, as she did in #WillLoveInSpring

February 5: Most memorable child actor (under 13)

Zhang Xi Wei, who I loved as the young FL in the #cdrama #HiddenLove and as the younger sister in #WillLoveInSpring

@MarthaCrimson I thought the portrayal of the FL with a partially amputated leg was profound and beautiful and REAL in #WillLoveInSpring

And she was a whole person, not defined by her disability, but also not immune to its affects.
#cdrama

I left the credits going on the last episode to let a dog in and had the lovely after-credits goose follow-up.

Those last two episodes really made the audience feel ALL of the emotions, zomg.

A similar but better "man gotta teach that independent career-driven woman how to miss him" ending than #SheAndHerPerfectHusband.

Yes, good.
#cdrama #WillLoveInSpring

At episode 14 of #cdrama #WillLoveInSpring and every single person in this series holds a piece of my heart.

Grandma Chen! Grandma Lin! Even Auntie Wu! Multifaceted, imperfect humans with such heart.

He NiaoNiao and Zhuang Yan as siblings are so great. Zhuang Yan as artsy goth barely-adult brother and his pet goose!

And, of course, Chen Maidong and Zhuang Jie.

I finished episode 12 of 21 of the #cdrama #WillLoveInSpring and I'm irritated at BOTH of them right now. Like they are both stuck in a whirlpool, spinning towards each other, but flailing, slowing their spin together but also not getting out of the gravitational pull, either!

*throws slippers*

The Cui Ge character as a blind date for the FL's best friend was also the best friend of the ML in #AreYouTheOne that I just finished.

The FL's mom was also the boss lady from #SheAndHerPerfectHusband

In the #CDrama #WillLoveInSpring a central part of the FL's story was the fact that she'd had one leg amputated just below the knee when she was 12. The story dwelt a lot on how that motivated her to excel.

Clearly the writer of #KDrama #LiveYourOwnLife watched it, thought "hold my beer" and decided to write an entire Drama about an FL who became the best fitness trainer in Korea despite having been born without

A SPINE

The ruthless and literally remorseless rejection of emotion and sentiment in dealing with death is quite disturbing in #CDrama #WillLoveInSpring - the message that because death is inevitable people should just suck it up stop whining and above all not cry is unpalatable.

When a very dear and close Korean friend was born, his Mum was shocked at his appearance & apparently said something like "this baby can't be mine, it's too dark". He has continued to suffer for that "sin" his entire life. The otherwise excellent #CDrama #WillLoveInSpring repeatedly pushes the same message very explicitly, with the FL scolding her little sister for not being fair enough and a TCM doctor telling the FL's BFF that "a fair complexion makes an ugly face pretty." No 10/10 for it

Loving Wan Peng's BFF role in #CDrama #WillLoveInSpring - great seeing her grow up and into fully adult roles

Into ep 7/21 of #CDrama #WillLoveInSpring and getting punched right in the feels. My dehumidifier will be working overtime coping with the way my eyes have sprung a leak

#CDrama #WillLoveInSpring continues to delight - the ML's granny is a treasure, coming across like a mafiosa matchmaker. ๐Ÿ˜€

Image shows an older woman sitting in bedroom and speaking to someone out of shot. The english subtitles read:

If you dare offend her, I'll break your legs.

Three episodes into
#CDrama #WillLoveInSpring and there's A LOT to like, including this actor and character, a near perfect C version of Kim Young Ok ๐Ÿ˜‚

Image shows an older woman standing in the doorway of house In the background Chinese axioms can be seen on either side of the doorway. The woman is talking to a young man (her grandson) and the English subtitles read:

Now, you know the definition of messing around.

The last #CDrama I finished had subs slightly on the poor side of mediocre. So kudos to the #WillLoveInSpring subbers for pulling this one off. Also, having had I can confirm that the answer is indeed 'no' (Actually exactly the sort of question that makes me wish English had an equivalent of the French "si")

Image is blurred, out focus shot of doors into an operating theatre, with a subtitle that reads:

Doctor, a laparoscopic cholecystectomy isnโ€™t that dangerous, right?

A swift recovery from #CDrama #WillLoveInSpring with this dry humour that made me laugh. The teacher talking to embalming students about how their profession is regarded๐Ÿ˜‚

Image shows a man standing at the front of a stage. Behind him is a person covered in a sheet on a long table, playing the role of a dead body. Behind the table are two men dressed in black suits and white shirts, trainee embalmers. The man in front, their teacher is speaking, and the subtitles read as follows:

After saying "Thank you,โ€ no one says "See you again.โ€

#CDrama #WillLoveInSpring losing me a bit with a scene showing FL bright and chatty as she goes in for gall bladder removal. I had mine out after several hours of the most excruciating agony I've ever experienced, all of it AFTER two shots of morphine. I was told it's the closest a male can come to childbirth pain and one woman who's experienced both said that gallbladder was worse. So I doubt anyone would be sitting up on the gurney chatting and smiling

I dropped/held #KDrama #BloodFree after learning the ending is dependent on an
as yet unconfirmed S2.
Starting #CDrama #WillLoveInSpring - I've been waiting for thisfor over a year on the strength of Zhou Yu Tong awesome performance in #BeginAgain It doesn't hurt that she is 'really, really, really, ridiculously good-looking' & that ML Li Xian is VERY easy on the eyes too. It opens with a competition of a sort I have NEVER seen before, in 11 years & nearly 700 East Asian Dramas ๐Ÿ˜†

Image shows a large banner in Chinese characters, subtitles say:

The 9th Funeral Professional Technique Competition
