Manche Dinge verschwinden nie ...

Heute mal wieder eine Mail mit Attachment namens winmail.dat bekommen.

Ursache:
Oft eine in Outlook im Microsoft-eigenen Rich-Text-Format verschickte Mail mit angehängter Datei.

Problem:
Andere E-Mail-Clients können die Datei nicht lesen und sehen nur eine unter Windows verschickte Mail mit Daten (winmail.dat).

Lösung für Absender:
Mail nicht als RTF verschicken

Lösung für Empfänger:
winmail-dat.com

@ivesen  yeah. Outlook also sometimes attaches a weird #winmail.dat attachment. Millions of non-outlook mail receivers have additional work with such bullshit. The MS managers responsible for that should be #punished.

I agree thunderbird isn't optimal (but it's free software and mostly works) but Outlook I hate.
