Whenever I flip through my gif library I send some thoughts to the Expensive camera that got destroyed for this shot.
#WordofHonor is such an incredible show to rewatch. There are so many lovely little details to pick up on, character moments that work extra well, set design that echoes backwards and forwards, and above all else, it’s just a delight to see again. Episode 2 next, probably tomorrow!
First thought: Justice for Princess Jing An! She should have married Qin Jiuxiao and lived a long and happy life at 4 Seasons Manor, not been forced to commit suicide by her fiancé’s shixiong.
Also, “you killed my entire family…” Did Zhou Zishu also kill her mother? Any siblings? Oof. Or was she the only child, and her mother already gone, so Zhou Zishu, in killing her father, as well as being indirectly responsible for her fiancé’s death, killed all her family?
Well, looks like I’m going to rewatch #WordofHonor, after a break of over a year. I watched it about six times between July 2021 to August 2023, and now it’s time for a 7th rewatch.
I’m going to put my thoughts and reactions in this thread, and take it slowly, almost scene by scene.
Feeling suddenly very sad and down that life just keeps me from celebrating all the #WordOfHonor and #Junzhe anniversaries this year.
I couldn't join the SHL rewatch because I was writing my thesis. Can't join the concert rewatch today either because I'm out of spoons. I'm not sure I can write a fic for Zhang Zhehan's birthday because I'm low on ideas. :blobcatcomfsob:
Makes me wonder if I'm maybe not that attached to it all anymore even though I know it's not like that. Sometimes, life just takes over. :blobcatsadreach: :blobcatsadreach: :blobcatsadreach:
Happy anniversary to the #WordOfHonor concert! Many things have changed since then but it’s still a core memory for me and fills my cold dead heart with love. ❤️ 💙 🏔️
