Per the nearest Weather Underground station, the 89F forecast became a 91.9F reality here today. Much cooler tomorrow.
It looks like the temperature has peaked and is on its way down. 97.7F was the max at the nearest Weather Underground station. It's 96F now.
It's 95F outside, per the nearest Weather Underground station. The temperature continues to climb. Oh, whee.
The nearest Weather Underground station indicates that It's 92F outside. The "feels like" temp is 96F. Tomorrow is predicted to be "much warmer" than today's predicted high of 90F (95F). I'm guessing we nudge 100F.
Last night I cleaned both filters in the A/C. It always helps to do that. Thus far, it's 74F in here.

The peak temperature at the nearest Weather Underground station from here was 98.2F. That's 1.3F below yesterday's peak of 99.5F.
I cooled the place well last night, then kept drapes closed and the development PC off. It has been a bit more pleasant in here today, by a whole 2 degrees.
I'll eventually need to do more for 100F, I know. We're forecast to enter a cooling trend with tomorrow's high temp forecast to be 86F, followed by at leas a week in the 70's.
I will take it!

Yale Climate Connections (YCC) is an excellent resource for anyone interested in climate and extreme weather, and among other things they host the Jeff Masters / Bob Henson "Eye on the Storm" blog, which ran under another name on the old #Wunderground site. I don't need social media, I have the EotS comments section. Their coverage of #hurricanes during the season is superb, with both lifesaving information for people in harm's way, and deep technical expertise. Anyway, it's effing awesome, but #YCC lost a big source of funding because Trump, so now they need donations. Well. My strategy of not setting up the A/C because it will rain for a week with temps in the 50's is sorely tested today. So far, it's comfortable. I suspect it's a bit cooler than 89 on this street. The heat of the day usually happens in a few hours. Oh, joy.
I may migrate to the basement before this day is done.
You might recall me mentioning we would have a 70F and a 77F this week. Today was the 70F. It hit 85.5F, according to the nearest Weather Underground station. Tomorrow is now predicted to be "about the same" as today.
