Of all the things I love about #Xentrix and the Bury The Pain album, by far the best is the start of "The One You Fear" where you hear the acoustic intro and think you're in for the traditional back-end of the album ballad - and don't get me wrong I love a good ballad - before it proceeds to kick you where it hurts and then continues to do so for the next four and a half minutes.
#NowPlaying #Metal Kicking off a dismal Monday with #Xentrix and "Bury The Pain". Probably my number 1 comeback album - having comprehensively solved the tricky issue of the vocalist, they absolutely blew the doors off with this one!

This time last week, I was about to go and watch one of my favourite bands at the Audio in Glasgow. Supported by Disposable and Tormented Demon, Xentrix were as excellent as expected. This was the 35th anniversary of their first album "Shattered Existence" so it was good to hear it live. This was also my first time seeing them with the new singer (Jay) and he done a great job.
Me and my mate Paul were suitably impressed 🤘😎 🥃 🏴
This week, I are been mostly buying...
"Stars On Thrash" (a compilation from the 80's I remember having on vinyl in the 90's), Gary Moore's "Run For Cover" (I loved Out In the Fields and Empty Rooms when I was a kid but never got around to buying the CD) and lastly, a ticket for the mighty Xentrix on their 35th Anniversary Tour of their first album "Shattered Existence". Seen them a few times live and they're always Xcellent 🤘😎

@haustsdottir I can't believe these guys are still around after, what, 33+ years ? I remember them being written off as a cheap Metallica ripoff back in the day, and of course the gimmicky Ghostbusters thing they did didn't really help the credibility either. Their "For Whose Advantage" was memorable to me though! Curious to what they're up to now, and if they still have something fresh to offer... will give the new one a spin!
