Tonight I'm checking out the young piano phenom Yunchan Lim with the NYPhil in the Rachmaninoff 3rd. Apparently his YouTube fame has led to sold-out crowds so I'm up in the third tier.

As we close out 2022, one of the things that caught me off guard (in a good way) was Yunchan Lim's amazing, mind-blowing performance playing the Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 3 to win The Cliburn piano competiton back in June. This performance is certainly worth your time, especially the last 5 mins (which I've watched at least 2 dozen times) ...
