Shortfuse the Cybernik: Sight Unseen

Panel 1, 2, 3: Newscaster Sally Acorn is presenting the news.

Sally: ... and as Vermin the *ex*-Cybernik is released, on parole, we ask what became of his megatal suit.

Sally: CCTV footage of the incident with Shortfuse that released Vermin from the body armour was found entirely and mysteriously erased.

Panel 4: Tekno has the news on a TV in the background. She's working on modifying Vermin's armour in her laboratory, which is mostly dark except for the light cast from the TV.

Tekno. It sure was, Sal. Not your best investigatory journalism, I must say.

Panel 5: Tekno tries on Vermin's helmet.

Tekno: Right, let's see if this new visor software is going to work yet.

Panel 6: Shortfuse walks into the lab.

Shortfuse: Hey Tek, did you--

Panel 7: Shortfuse sees Tekno in silhouette, wearing the vermin armour.

Panel 8: He immediately shoots "Vermin" on sight.

Panel 9: Tekno, fortunately unharmed but with smouldering new marks on the helmet, takes off the helmet so smile unawares at Shortfuse. Shortfuse grabs her in alarm.

Tekno: Oh hey Shorty, ho--

Shortfuse: Do you know how close to death you were just now???

Panel 10: Tekno looks at the superficially damaged helmet.

Tekno: The helmet works though.

Shortfuse: You were nearly fried chicken!!
