El 5D a la tarda, Endavant-OSAN Sant Andreu i Arran Sant Andreu, en el marc de la Festa Major de Sant Andreu de Palomar organitzem la 1a Trobada contra la Gentrificació al districte de Sant Andreu, amb la voluntat de que sigui un punt de trobada de col.lectius que estan treballant la gentrifiació al districte alhora que hi tinguin cabuda també totes aquelles persones que tenen ganes de lluitar contra aquesta gentrificació que s'està escampant per St. Andreu com una fuita de petroli.
A les 18:30h.

El 6D al matí, el Casal organitza:

A les 11h, Ruta històrica que farà Les Quintes, el col.lectiu feminista del districte.
A les 11h, Jocs tradicionals per la canalla.
A les 12:30h, Vermut musical.
A les 14h, Dinar popular.

El 6D a la tarda, l’Esquerra Independintista organitza:

A les 16h, concert de Glossa.
A les 18h, espectacle amb la vedette Jessica Pulla.
A les 21h, sopar que prepara el Sindicat d’Habitatge de Sant Andreu.
A les 22:30h, concert de Festa Major amb el grup Puntxada, PD Camil-la i PD Floretes.

Per què ens trobem?

👉🏼 Perquè el lloguer puja més i més. I enfront de la crisi d’habitatge que afrontem, al districte s’estan construint pisos de luxe que només fan que agreujar el problema.

👉🏼 Perquè Sant Andreu s’està convertint en un decorat per a expats i turistes, perquè es “súper autèntic” 🤡

👉🏼 L’arribada de visitants rics canvia inevitablement el nostre teixit local. Tanquen les ferreteries, les papereries de tota la vida, i s’hi instal·les botigues de Bubble tea, Poke bowls i Vivaris.

👉🏼 I per què parlar català, si amb anglès o castellà ens entenem tots! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Els negocis no rotulen i sovint no parlen la nostra llengua. Hem de lluitar per defensant-la!

1a Trobada contra la Gentrifició del districte de Sant Andreu

#SaturdayScrunching For no reason at all, here's an ancient pic (from 2004 - my 1st digital camera!) of the wonderful deformed Dalradian rocks at Imachar on the W coast of Arran. There's a lot of fancy stuff going on here - more info in alt text if you want it! 🤓 😁 🤩

The movement of shingle on the beach keeps these rocks clean of algae, lichens, seaweed etc, but it also means that some years the rocks are invisible - completely buried under pebbles.

A view of a greenish grey rock outcrop on a shingle beach. The beach shingle can be seen at the bottom of the photograph, and consists of grey, buff and brown rounded pebbles.

The rock outcrop is beautifully clean, and shows complicated folding, and white quartz veins. There's an awful lot going on in these rocks: they started off as dirty marine Neoproterozoic sands. The obvious "banding" is an early solution cleavage, which has then been folded, cut by quartz veins. There was then some furhter defomation, stretching the quartz veinds into sausage-like strings ("boudinage"). The last deformational featues are kink bands, probably associated with the emplacement of the North Arran Granite about 58 million years ago.
