Looking along a curving empty street after sundown, the sky is still bluish and pink on the horizon. The street curves off into the distance as it passes under a train overpass and heads up on the other side.

In the centre of the frame is the silhouette of a building under construction, and just peeking above one corner of the building are several bursts of fireworks, mostly green with some red.

Several stories of an apartment building frames the right side of the image, the building is curved to match the street, the glass on the balcony railings reflect the last pink and blue light from the sky.

Honestly, that's a pretty big red flag.

My town has a street festival today.

The nearby self defense force base was the 2020 olympic games shooting venue, so there are occasionally images of the town mascot Popotan (a cartoon dandelion puff?) incongruously shooting a gun.
