Just watched the highlights of the 5th Test of the #Ashes2023 , and I gotta say, England, particularly Bazball cricket, the way of approaching everything with aggression, is making Test Cricket look interesting again. Made me remember Virat Kohli's captaincy🥹❤️
For this reason though, I'd give them a great chance to give India a tough competition, and maybe even win the Test series, when England visits India next year.

If people think drawn tests are bad, especially due to weather then the only real alternative is a Timeless Test, which used to exist. The game continues until all four innings have been completed, no matter how long that takes.
There may still be a draw, but not due to the weather. I doubt broadcasters would be very interested in this, and it is broadcasters, not spectators, that call the shots.
The most aggravating thing about long rain delays at Test matches as a spectator is for the rain to stop, the ground to appear fine, the umpires to take another 30 minutes to make an inspection and then to have lunch or tea because it's too close to the artificially defined sessions.
No one gives a fuck about lunch, just play.

I don't get the Australian decision to capitulate to 5 runs an over in the hope that someone skies one to the boundary.
