During tonight's game we destroyed 5 Jem'Hadar ships. Unfortunately, Worf didn't make it.

Two very different #BoardGames last night. First up was #TheWhiteCastle a game that’s good or less than good depending on the combo of cards and dice spots. Followed by #StarTrek #AttackWing a classic minis game. Better than X-Wing both mechanically and thematically because Star Trek is the best. I don’t make the rules. Anyway me, as the sneaky Romulans, survived where the Klingons died (honour and glory!) and the Federation’s lack of cloak did for them.

7 Klingon ships vs 4 Federation ships vs 5 Dominion ships on a starfield battle May

Not played X-Wing version 2/2.5 as I refuse to buy into a new system. At least Star Trek #AttackWing is pretty much still the same core rules.

Plus in Star Trek #AttackWing most ships can’t K-Turn making movement move strategic and the game not becoming about “jousting”

I also used to play #XWing and whilst I enjoy Star Wars, I don’t really enjoy Star Wars games. #AttackWing and XWing share a core set of rules but the world of Star Trek engages me much more.

Sometimes theme doesn’t bother me too much (aside from generic science fiction and generic fantasy that rarely appeal) but last nights game is one where it does. #AttackWing
