Best iOS apps for listening to DRM-free audiobooks?

I’ve recently switched from falling asleep listening to podcasts to audiobooks because the ads have become distracting. I’m currently using BookPlayer, and it’s fine, except it’s tedious to upload books that are split into many parts. Must have sleep timer.

As an audiobook narrator, I do "fully characterized narration", meaning I perform different voices for each character.

Many of the romance authors I narrator for write in alternating POV: one chapter is from the female lead's perspective, the next is from the male lead's.

That means as a narrator, I wind up narrating sex scenes from a male character's point of view.

As an actor, it's not dialogue I ever expected to be paid to perform before I started narrating audiobooks. Like when the male leads talk about "my [adjective] [very male body part]".

It's all part of the job: it's acting. You have a chuckle or two to yourself and then get on with it.

*Some scenes involve more laughter than others.
