Trying this composition again with just Daniel Smith Cascade Green. This one feels better proportionally! The colors blooming and splitting are stunning!

This is a Reflective Atmospheric Watercolor Landscape Painting in landscape orientation in an A5 sketchbook. The rectangular boundaries and smaller sized evergreen trees give a panoramic feel. The largest tree (and its reflection) is 1/3 of the total height of the painting. I used Daniel Smith Cascade Green for this experimental piece for its granulation and color splitting; it's made with raw sienna and phthalocyanine blue. With masstone of a dark yellow green at the tree line, some of the medium values are also yellow green with a distinct blue edge. Elsewhere medium and light values of raw sienna are visible. The lightest value is minty green. The trees are tallest in the center and shortest on the sides. The overall feeling is the mistiness in the early morning.
