I'm going to #CSSday 2026 🥳 I've always wanted to go. It will be my first one.

One more thing to discuss at #cssday !
Our hero John Allsopp reviews web design strategies and the nature of the web anew:
#css #cssDay #design #print #web #dao #zen #iphone #responsive @johnallsopp
Ik kwam op https://cssday.nl terecht via #TheWebYouWant en ik zie als hoofdsponsor #Google staan. Kan dat nog? #cssday

Ok ... after sending an email to the organisation of #CSSday , mentioning @ppk and @cssday and not getting a reply. I've decided not to go to to the event.
Really a shame, because I saw @rebane2001 @ #39c3 and it was a great fun! <3
Now, I truly wonder if the other participants will feel ok sharing the stage with the COO of this organisation (see the links in the quoted toot, and more here: https://programming.dev/post/26426207/15416301)
To get in the #cssday mood, here's @utilitybend 's talk from last year:
@ppk I hope you get well soon.
I'm seriously considering not attending to #cssday after I learn the COO of Ladybird Browser Initiative will give a talk at the conference?
Maybe you are not aware about their very non-inclusive policy and —to be soft— their toxic leadership?
You can read a well doc'd article on Drew DeVault's blog: https://drewdevault.com/2025/09/24/2025-09-24-Cloudflare-and-fascists.html
Or, a shorter version of the concerns raised by their project on @kelson 's blog: https://hyperborea.org/reviews/software/ladybird-inclusivity/
(edit: Ladybird org's name)
We started publishing the #cssday 2025 talks, one each Wednesday for the next 12 weeks.
Today: Cyd Stumpel
CSS Day is returning! https://cssday.nl
We will open #cssday ticket sales this month. Early-bird tickets will be announced first via our newsletter https://cssday.nl/subscribe; subscribe for the most affordable prices.
Brecht de Ruyte ( @utilitybend ) gave a fantastic talk on #cssday about stylable selects. Now he has published his fifth article about this topic and he still amazes me about the new possibilities that lie ahead.
I hope Mozilla and Apple will add those features very soon!

If you code websites, then you KNOW how it’s been to style form controls.

A highlight of the last couple of weeks is that after my #CSSDay talk, Project Wallace, (one of the tools I mentioned in my talk) implemented analysis for spacing resets!
I love this 💚
