#currencyconversions

I usually type "xxx USD in AUD" into #DDG or #qwant and get a nice box with the conversion rate, but I've noticed more and more this doesn't always work (I just get links to conversion sites), even on my own instance of #searxng.

So today while doing the same thing for a client's invoice (I wanted to see how it compared to my original conversion a few months ago) I clicked through to the #wise conversion page.

I realised in #vivaldi (sick of hashtags yet?) I could add the Wise URL with %s as the amount parameter as a custom search engine, so now using a simple shortcut I can search directly for the rate and add as many as I want for different currencies. Hooray!

Prior to writing this post I realised I still haven't checked the rate of my client's invoice.
