@swiftyshq #cybirdlore That's the southern portion of Cascadia in 2429.
There's a lot more magic* in 2429 than one would expect, but three that are particularly relevant to my life:
Shrink Drive: Allows me to change my size on a uniform linear scale from my usual stature of 2m and 200kg all the way down to a minimum of 2cm and 100g.
Portable Biomatter Reactor: Allows me consume foods in order to charge my battery, producing no organic waste product and generating heat and electricity. The most maintenance I have to do is occasionally descale it to clear out salt, iron, and other minerals that are in food.
Hard Light: It's what extends from my wings and lets me fly. Hard light protections are weightless and able to stop gasses from passing through them while solid objects are able to pass through without resistance.
*There's probably scientific explanations for all of them, but I'm not a smart enough robot bird to explain them.
March of Robots Day 11: Magic
The historic Angel's Flight Railway in the heart of New Los Angeles, a funicular that has been in service for over 500 years. It sits adjacent to the 3rd Street Tram Tunnel and connects the Olive Hill Plaza and the Hill Grassway, and holds the record for being the shortest Railroad in the Nation of California. Despite being primarily a tourist attraction, it and the Griffith Park Gondolas are counted as Teir 4 Transit and therefore can be ridden for free by all California citizens.
March of Robots Day 8: Hill
Seeing the historic Griffith Observatory from within one of the Griffith Park Gondolas that connects key parts of Griffith Park and adjacent transit. The gondolas were first opened in 2107, originally with just one pair of stops between the Observatory and Vermont / Sunset Station, now the southern terminus of the B line. They are useful for mountainous, low traffic areas like the park.
March of Robots Day 5: Park
Drawn on location, this is a micro-plaza, a small set of seating and amenities found at nearly every streetcorner in the Nation of California. They commonly feature such amenities as vending machines, garbage/recycling drop off, water fountains, seating and tables, bicycle racks (many with plugs for bikes), restrooms, and other public goods. No two micro-plazas are alike, and some may have unique services depending on what's nearby.
This is the Pulcra 500, one of the more well known rolling stock of the New Los Angeles Tram network. It is a low floor, autonomous electric tram built by the California Civic Engineering Union Local 330 and first operated publicly 2401/07/02. The bright red livery with gold colored art deco inspired accents was originally chosen to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Pacific Electric Railway and has given these trams the same colloquial nickname of "The Red Cars," and they quickly became iconic to the locals of NLA. As of 2429 these trams represent ~20% of the currently operating rolling stock, but the red and gold colors have been adopted by the new models succeeding them.
