This is a Reflective Atmospheric Watercolor Landscape Painting in landscape orientation in an A5 sketchbook. I used Daniel Smith Moonglow for this art piece because it is made up of three pigments: Veridian, Ultramarine Blue, and Anthraquinoid Red. In masstone the color is a dark smokey cool purple but when it is diluted the blue and red splits out. Along the tree line is Moonglow in masstone then it's diluted above and below the tree line getting bursts of dark and medium value smokey purple; those are diluted further into lighter values and this where the pigment splitting happens. The composition is a horizontally stretched triangle with taller trees on the left getting shorter moving to the right.
