de SPORTSCHOOL / In Charlois, Rotterdam we (P1) took residence in two abandoned gymnasiums after years of negotiating with the city council. We opened June last year with a big art exhibition and last weekend we opened for a new season. Over the course of one week we turned one of the gymnasiums into a cinema. Without any prior experience we started building, and opened with ‘Traveling Light’ a cinema program curated by Sema Bekirovic. Now that we have a working cinema I am looking forward to more exciting events and projects.
