"Fortunate Son" is a song by the American #rock band #CreedenceClearwaterRevival, released on the band's fourth studio album, #WillyAndThePoorBoys in October 1969. It had previously been released as a #single, with "#DownOnTheCorner" on the flip side, in September 1969. It became a #VietnamAntiwarMovement #anthem and an expressive symbol of the #countercultures opposition to executive power grabs, including #oppositionToTheDraft.
