Just started watching Deep Space 9 and I see the franchise was still as cishet as usual.

I'm not sure which one of these is true:

- Sisko's interactions with the presently-female Dax are outdated
- I haven't seen enough of his character development yet
- I don't understand Trill gender theory
- The Trill are written as overly-cishet as everyone else

Watched the Terra Firma double episode of #StarTrek #Discovery last night (s03e09-s03e10). Sigh.

For all that I love #DS9, its overuse of the mirror universe was definitely fatiguing. So much so that by the time we get to Discovery it's decision to rely upon it for a 'cool factor' falls completely flat.

On the plus side, with Georgiou's exit, I believe that element is finally put to bed.
(I haven't seen the final season yet, don't tell me if I'm wrong. Let disappointment happen in due course.)

Watching #DS9 and have to comment on what a great character Nog is. Finished “Treachery, Faith, and the Great River” and I love how they write Nog as keeping his identity as a Ferengi while adapting it to the “post-currency” economy of the Federation. So good.
