I love 2 Cold Scorpio's gimmick at this time of interrupting ring announcer Joel Gertner after he says Scorpio's weight pre-match and correcting him. It's so dumb, but that's what makes it great! This time Scorpio went from 239 lbs to "I stand corrected, a lean, slim, trim [etc] 238 lbs!"
Also I'm watching ECW Hostile City Showdown 1996 and this is the first match where D-Von Dudley teams with his half-brothers and I love the energy fledgling D-Von brings! "Thou shall not kill! Thou shall not steal! And thou shall not fuck with the Dudleys!"

The Raw after Mania XII was pretty good! It saw the official debut of Foley's "Mankind" character in a match against Bob "Spark Plug" Holly. A few in the crowd chanted "He's hardcore!" at Foley and when I watched this a decade ago I naively thought that "Hardcore Holly" was already a character. Watching with context they're definitely referring to the man who mocked the chants at the end of his ECW run.
Alternatively, the Steiner Brothers have consistently had my attention; they were good in a random #ECW match that was built up for a few weeks and they're good in WCW. I knew Scott Steiner for his "brainless musclehead who cuts hilariously out there promos" from his time in #TNA around 2010 or so, it's neat seeing that him and his brother Rick were kind of amazing as a tag team in the mid-90s.
It's bittersweet seeing Cactus Jack's goodbye to #ECW. On one hand, his last gimmick - the anti-hardcore "Don't live your life like I have, it's not worth it!" character - was GOLD... but on the other hand, moving to #WWF got him a bigger paycheck, and a few short years later thanks to Foley being in WWF I'd see him on TV and he'd become one of my favorite pro wrestlers of all time. If he'd stayed in ECW I would not have seen him as a kid.
So at #ECW 's Big Ass Extreme Bash show in 1996, Chris Jericho debuts with the promotion and they mistakenly say he's from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I know that this happened like 20 years later, but after hearing that my mind immediately went to that time he was playing a heel and a fan shouted "Go back to Toronto!" to which Jericho shouted back "I'm from Winnipeg, you idiot!"
